With the new policy “National Education Policy (NEP) 2020” in place, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised its assessment and evaluation practises for students in Class IX, X, XI and XII for the academic year 2023-24.
In order to gradually align assessment with the NEP's vision, the board will integrate more competency-based questions in the Class X and XII Board examination.
As a result, the Question Paper for the upcoming session will include more Competency-Based Questions or questions that gauge how well concepts are applied in practical settings.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) publishes a public notice in reaction to rumours and misleading information concerning paper leaks in on-going Class 10th and 12th examinations.
The Board stated that it is alert and aggressive in identifying and prosecuting people who distribute false information and rumours. The Board has also warned that individuals who spread such bogus news on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media platforms will face severe penalties.
According to the notice, the board routinely notifies the Delhi Police Special Cell (MAC) to take strong action against those involved in the dissemination of false news through social media platforms in violation of several provisions of the IPC and IT Act.

30 sample papers have been circulated on the fake website For the Class 10 and 12 exams. Additionally, it has been claimed that only these sample papers would be used for the CBSE board exams. The website and the sample papers, however, are bogus, as per CBSE.
In this context, CBSE has requested that all responsible stakeholders exercise extreme vigilance and refrain from using any website links or communications.
