Sikkim MBBS Counselling 2019 - Important Dates & Admission Procedure

The NEET UG Counseling process for gaining
admission to MBBS and BDS will begin in the 4^th week of June at
Sikkim. The entire process will be carried out via online mode. Foremost the state
government will enlist a state merit list, enlisting the name of the candidates
who have qualified their NEET UG entrance. As soon as the NEET UG Result is
released, the candidates must register themselves for the counseling process by
visiting the official website.

The NEET counseling process for MBBS and
BDS at Sikkim will be undertaken by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Human
Resource Development Department under the Government of Sikkim. Every candidate
who are selected in the NEET examination must register themselves for the
further rounds of counseling. Below listed is the detailed process:

Registration

The NEET Counseling
registration will take place in the online mode which can be carried out by
visiting the official website of NEET
Candidates must register
themselves using their registered email ID and Mobile Number.
They would be sent login
credentials comprising of Username and Password
Login into the website and fill
in all the necessary details including personal and professional information
After this the candidate will
be directed to document upload page
Candidates must upload the
scanned copy of all the mentioned documents
Aspirants will be later have to
fill in their choices. Under the choice filling, candidates are required to
mention their choice of colleges and institutions.

(Note: Candidates can include as many institutions and
colleges as required under choice filling)

After the choosing the colleges
and institutions, click on ‘Submit and Save’ button

(Note: Until the choices are not saved, the candidate won’t be allowed to participate in the counseling)

Later on the candidate will be directed to
the payment slide. The payment needs to be made through the online mode which
can be either through debit card, credit card or net banking.

Documents
for Submission

The following documents are required to be
uploaded during the registration process as well as carried at the time of
counseling for verification:

Print out of the completely filled online
application, in addition, to the below mentioned documents. The documents are
supposed to be attested and submitted to the Directorate of Technical Education
during the office hours. These include:

Sikkim Subject Certificate or
COI of father or Certificate of Identification of the candidate
Valid community certificate
either in the name of the candidate or Trade License in the name of the father
or Parent’s Employment Certificate
Date of Birth Certificate
BPL Certificate (as issued by
DESME)
Valid Demand Draft

(Note: Candidate must mention their name in
the back of the Demand Draft)

Points to Remember:

The registration for counseling
will be conducted through online mode only
Candidates who have qualified
their NEET can register for the counseling process
After registration, the state
government will release the list of candidates who have qualified
Candidates must report at DTE
on the scheduled day for verification of documents
It is necessary to carry all
the important documents at the time of verification
If the candidates are allotted
the college of their choice then they must ensure to report to the college on
the mentioned day or else the admission will stand cancelled
For candidates who aren’t
satisfied with their allotment will have to again register for online for the
second round of counseling
The number of rounds will
depend on the vacant seats available after the first session of counseling
