With the admission process in full swing, candidates are finding it difficult to understand the complexities of the neet counselling process. The Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) will start the NEET counselling for MBBS/ BDS seats under 15% All India Quota (Deemed Universities/Central Universities ) will be managed by the MCC. For the remaining 85% quota seats counselling will be organized separately by the respective state authorities.

1. Online registration:

The first step in the NEET counselling process, it is very important to read all the necessary things to keep during Online registration. All the information entered online must be correct, as mistakes in the form might cost you rejection of your form. And the most important thing to remember is to check the eligibility criteria for the counselling.

2. Locking in the choices:

After successfully registering, students need to fill out their preferred colleges and courses. So make sure before filling out the choices you must check about all the pros and cons of each institution. Devote a significant amount of time to identifying the best college suits according to the marks obtained in the NEET exam. Because once you have locked the choices you can't change them, so lock all the choices by double-checking.

3. Check Medical Colleges Fees Structure :

Candidates who are seeking admission in MBBS / BDS courses in India must know about the fee structure. Studying MBBS in India is a bit costly so aiming for a good medical college that fits your budget becomes a crucial aspect for every student. Depending on the type of college, the MBBS course fee will be different. The MBBS course fee for government medical colleges is the lowest in the country and the highest will for NRI quota and deemed universities.

  • Post-college allotment notification:

After the declaration of the NEET Result, the process of seat allotment for the first round will start. Candidates need to check all the college selection eligibility criteria as given in the counselling brochure, if a student fails to do so during the stipulated amount of time, he/she will not be eligible for the next round of counselling.

After the declaration of the counselling result, It is also important to join a college as soon as possible because if you didn't join the college then your seat will be cancelled.

So it is necessary to report to the allotted college and follow all the required steps given by the colleges.

4. Documents to be required:

At the time of admission, candidates must bring all the required documents. The following documents will be required during the  Counselling. Students need to carry original documents along with attested photocopies as required :
